This is the second boat application where I've installed LED light strips on a boat. What is very important in marine LED strips is 3M backing and an IPX8 fully waterproof rating. If you're unfamiliar with this rating you should look it up. Its is the highest rating waterproof there is, as in fully submersible underwater. My other ones on my old boat did not have 3M backing and fell off after hitting some waves. These have held on very well and are very solid. Great product.Also on my old boat I thought it would be cool to get color changing one's. Big mistake. If there's any chance the control box will get wet don't even do it. Mine went out the first day.Get a solid color like these for maximum brightness and durability. Highly reccommend these.Also it's a good idea to get a LED light bar wiring harness. Nilight makes a good quality one. Comes with a switch as well.
